Guided Meditation

What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”  – Napoleon Hill

I believe that what Mr Hill was trying to say to us is that when the mind is well focused and honed in on a particular goal, “impossible” becomes just another word in the dictionary.

Our human minds are capable of so much and yet we use them so little.  To illustrate what I mean, have you ever felt really nervous about something?  So much so that your palms began to sweat, your shoulders got tight, your mouth got dry?  Yes, of course, we’ve all been there.  The lead-up to having to speak in public, or doing something for the very first time can make some of us that nervous.

So doesn’t it stand to reason that if our mind created that situation in our bodies, it can also create the perfect environment for healing to begin?

For years I have been reading books and research studies about meditation and its benefits on the body and mind, and it is abundantly clear that meditation offers some very real benefits for people, such as:

  •  Reduction of pain and anxiety (and even blood pressure!)
  • Slowing of biological aging
  • Relief of physical tension
  • Positive effects on the immune system
  • Reduction of negative thoughts and emotions
  • Increased feelings of well being

All you need do is Google the words “benefits of meditation” and you can see many scholarly articles and websites for yourself.

How Meditation Helped Me

I used a particular meditation all through my breast cancer treatments and it helped me immensely with stress and anxiety, it helped me to feel more confident in my ability to heal, and I felt fantastic each time I used it.  I did this because everything I read about meditation led me to believe it would help me in my quest for healing.

I came to love meditation so much – and I thought maybe you might too – so I recorded my favorite white light guided meditation for you – the same one that I used during my cancer treatments.

You can download it here.
